Paul has been a lifelong friend, one of the best. All of the qualities he describes are true, but for me the things I love about him are his hard working ethics, his honesty and integrity, and he is such good fun.
For many years we worked together, and he was dedicated, hard working and good at his job, We have shared our passion of keeping fit and getting into the great outdoors and he showed his resilience to difficulties on more than one occasion. One such occasion was in Scotland where we formed a two man team on a mountain marathon two day event. He twisted his ankle but continued through the second day in a lot of pain to complete the event rather than throw in the towel, a true hero. We have also cycled a lot together and I remember many funny moments, although they mainly featured Paul having spectacular falls, but we wont go into that.
As well as the characteristics described Paul has a very warm, loving and compassionate side, which was clearly seen in his many long and happy years of marriage.
