About her
I grew up all over the world – the Pacific, Australia and Asia with journeys back to Britain that involved exploring a few more countries along the way. Despite the international upbringing, I am old-school British, shaped by family, tradition and a heritage rooted in farming, sports and all things wonderfully English.
My interests are varied. I love design, nature, history, architecture, food, culture, music and the arts. I can happily discuss livestock management, Georgian interiors, sailing tactics, Renaissance art or where to find the best meal in a hidden corner of Europe.
A few questionable romantic choices over the years have meant I have spent much of the last two decades making decisions independently, managing businesses, properties, renovations and life's inevitable surprises. While I am perfectly capable of steering the ship, I have reached the stage where I need a captain. Someone who can offer perspective, spot the occasional iceberg and remind me that not every problem requires immediate intervention.
When not renovating I lead an active life and love the water. Kite surfing, race sailing and outdoor adventures feature highly, also content over a long lunch, a fascinating conversation, a gallery visit or discovering somewhere new.
Having recently completed yet another renovation project, I have realised that life is about more than work, contractors and emergency problem-solving. I would like to spend more time enjoying life, looking after myself and building something meaningful with someone who values honesty, loyalty, humour and good manners.
I am all-inclusive in outlook, but firmly exclusive with my choosen partner. Emotional games hold little appeal and life is far too short for the unnecessary.
One final note: if you are young enough to call me "ma'am" or old enough to remember Queen Victoria personally, we are probably not each other's person. Everyone else, do say hello.
